2 weeks ago you all loved riding tip of the week one. I was sick last week, so I will pick it up again this week. So here it is...
This weeks tip is on... Riding form! Any discipline, from roping to dressage, to racing, to show jumping requires good form, so here are some exercise tips I've learned. A few exercises you can use are: The Heel-Step exercise, which helps strengthen your legs and improves your heel. For five minutes each day, or longer if you want, find a staircase and stand with the balls of your feet on the edge, with the rest of your feet hanging down. Flex up and down a few times to stretch your muscles. If you ache slightly after you do this, it is working. You should notice improvements after a few weeks. And now for our second exercise: The Broom-back exercise. Find a broom with a long handle. Put it behind your back, holding it tight against your back for several minutes a day. It will improve posture. If it hurts slightly, it is working.
That's all for now,
Hypno. |
