This summer in July me and my sister were out driving our pony in a field. Our pony is a sound pony, you can do whatever you want with him. He use to be a Amish pony and we got him from an auction. He was foundered really bad when we got him, but we fixed him up and he turned out really well. Then we trained him for cart.
Recently, we were out in a huge open field and we were driving when he just took off. I pulled back on the reins really hard, but he wouldnt stop. I kept pulling so hard I had his nose tucked tight to his chest, but he still would not stop. He ran across a little road and then into a yard and almost hit a few trees. From there he launched us into another persons yard which had a lot of metal and junk.
The cart flipped and me and my sister flew out of the cart.
My sister landed on a camper and I landed on a trailer. I ripped open the side of my leg and punchered a hole in my other leg on my shin bone. My leg that had the hole in it hurt the worse because it hit my shin bone. My sister had hit her face on the bars of the camper and cut her cheek open. She was in shock and didn't even notice her face was cut and only complained about her arm. Then she touched her face and started to scream. The pony got tangled up in the harness and a fold up chair. I ran home to get help while the neighbors held my pony down. He kept throwing his head smacking a boat trailer. Then finally I got help and got the pony all untangled and put him in the pasture. We were then quickly driven to the hospital.
At the hospital I got a call that my pony had broken out of the pasture and ran across the highway into the cemetery. The police were chasing after my pony and after running five miles from home he ended up at an Arabian farm. The owners locked him up in a stall until my relatives got there.
Meanwhile, at the hospital me and my sister were getting checked out. I got extremely lucky and required no stitches. But my sister was not so fortunate. She had to be driven to a childrens hospital and had 36 stitches in her face.
We will never get back in that cart ever again. |

That is horrible but glad nothing really serious happened.
Do you know why your pony went a bit insane?

So sorry to hear that. Is your sister okay now? Why did it happen? I thought you mentioned that the pony was a sound one?
