Selling a Horse - True Feelings
|

Don't you ever wish you could find your past horses just to see how they were doing and maybe just visit them for a little while? i miss my Harley he was a Tennessee Walker and he was the best bud i ever had. He was so great that when we ran or did something crazy he would check to see if i was still on. He had such great manners and he was just awesome. I learned almost everything i know on him. Well the basics atleast. I just wish i could get him back somehow but i just know he wouldn't be the same and it would just kill me. From what i understand the spark and fire that flew in that horse dissappeared when he got sold.
I never knew a horse could be so depressed about being sold. If he was mine in the first place i wouldn't have sold him but basically he was mine since i was the only one that rode him at the barn i went to. Thats the reason they sold him was because he wasn't good for many people and it would just be silly to sell one of the all round horses that could be used for anybody over the horse that only works for a select few people.
I remember i was in like 7th grade and i cried night after night. I still think about him but i don't cry anymore since i barely remember him now and its so sad. I just have my new maricle in my life. Junior and even though i love Junior bunches i still remember Harley and i just wish i could see him again.
Sorry, I just had to let all this out. Thanks to those who read all of this and those that will reply. |

I know it's tough - I've been lucky that I sold all my horses to great people who kept in touch except for one, and although he would be gone now (or very, very old) I still wonder what happened to him. rust me though, horses with character like harley alwasy seem to find someone like you, no matter where they are! I'm sure he's fine, and you'll have many more friends like him in your future!
