Places To Win Horses And Tack Online
 By FloridaCowgirl   •   9th Aug 2011   •   5,818 views   •   11 comments
Win Horses And Tack OnlineMost horse people could use a new pair of boots, some free grooming products or even a new trailer but with the cost of just feeding and caring for a horse, there's not always enough money left at the end of the month to invest in these items. Fortunately, there are a few websites that offer you the chance to win them for free! Be prepared to register for the sites and provide some personal information though.

HorseCity.com (Continental U.S. Residents Only)

HorseCity.com hosts a monthly contest that features prizes including an Ezall horse bathing kit, a Western Horseman book package and a pair of Justin boots. Each of these prizes are awarded monthly. In addition, the site also offers a chance to win a Just-B-Natural treeless western saddle during the months of March, June, September and December. You can enter to win as many times as you would like.

Win With Your Horse (UK-Based Magazine)

This site offers monthly drawings for products such as treats, supplements, rugs and stall toys to all members who answer the monthly question correctly. The contest page is structured to resemble a calendar so that you just click on the month in order to enter the current contest. In addition, the sight also has links to several other contests that offer larger prizes such as horseboxes, horseware goods and training packages.

There are several other sites that offer monthly contests to win horse-related prizes but in addition to requiring the personal information, there was no way to opt out of receiving promotional emails. Two of these sites include BarrelHorseNews.com and SunHorseTack.com. Both are open to residents of the U.S. Another good site for UK residents is equinecompare.co.uk. This isn't a site that gives away stuff but rather provides links to other sites that offer UK-based contests. Now that you have a few leads, good luck!

Hurricane Preparedness for Horses   29th Aug 2011   •   1618 views
Hurricane Preparedness for Horses This isn't the typical review that you're used to seeing from me, but given the fact that we're right in the middle of storm season, it seems more relevant than some of the other topics that were in the hopper. Horse owners have a special responsibility because unlike cats and dogs, you can't take your horses with you to a shelter or hotel. If you're plannin . . .
