Just a little Finnegan update for those following. :)
Remember Finn? When I got him off the track in August.

Thanks! That squiggly line did me in. He is the sweetest little guy, definitely deserves to be off the track.

I wanna get a off the track TB, was he easy to 'break' back into normal riding? I heard they can be real tempremental and frisky.

I will say this. I got lucky! He is the most easy going, willing to please horse I have ever had. He has struggles, completely one sided, still detoxing off the drugs. Not sure that he really represents the typical OTTB since he is soo calm. He struggles to canter and has needed a lot of massage therapy to balance his body and release a lot of stiffness and he is only 5 yrs with about 37 race starts.
If you ride under a trainer they can be a blessing. Personally I would reccommend New Vocations if you're considering an OTTB. The do the vet check, get them healthy and get them started off nicely and under saddle. Then they adopt them out for $200-$1000. They are very well priced and they do all the hardest work. If you want the link I can post it.

Finn is looking wonderful :D

But what is that scar/scrape on his head? Is it from when he raced?

Sonny- No. He got caught playing halter tag with another horse the other day. They basically grab each others halters and attempt to drag/shake each other. So no more halter for turnout.

Aww, sorry to hear he got a boo-boo D:

Spott was out at pasture in October and rolled onto something. It punctured his shoulder.
We still don't know what did it, but it almost messed him up pretty bad. P:
