My body aches and I'm exhausted! I got up at 7 this morning and ate breakfast. DH was kind enough to make it :) Then I headed down to the horses (about 1/2 mile). Fed them and started shoveling the gates so I could open them. They haven't been shoveled at all since it started snowing and it was well overdue. I got two out of 5 done in an hour. (Almost... I gave up on one when it was really close! Lol). While I was down there I got a call that the horse I bought a month ago would be delivered today! AHHHH! Lol
So I run back to the house (1/2 mile), get the kids ready for church and DH ran down to do fencing. He got all the rest done in under 15 minutes! I asked him how he did it and he says "I'm not a girl". Yeah, ruin a perfectly sweet moment there! Lol. She he leaves with the kids and not long after he leaves the lady texts me that she's on my road. So I suit up and head down the driveway to the road (1/2 mile). She unloads him and we walk all the way back to the horses and put him in the arena (1 mile). Walked back to the road (1 mile). Walked back to the house (1/2 mile). Ate lunch then walked back to the horses (1/2 mile). Locked my horses in the front paddock and put the new one in the back so they could all meet over the fence. That went well. So I went in and took his blanket and halter off. Then went to the front gate and opened it so they could all meet. He and one of my mares don't seem to get along really well. I watched them for awhile while I cleaned out the water tanks. (Needed done. It was a good excuse). Then I walked over to the craft shop for some scissors. The snow was thigh deep and was EXHAUSTING! Lol.
I separated Saharra and Ginger into one pasture and put a water tank in theirs. Then Jazz and Salty (the new one) into their own pasture with a clean tank. Then I walked back to the house. (1/2) mile.
I am BEAT. Still have to go down there again tonight. DOH!
