You should atleast let the person know that you will be back. You shouldn't just leave.

Real life is always more important then a game, and if things come up sometimes you don't have time or don't think to send a message about it.
People need to realize this is a game, not real life, and this isn't the mods job. Things come up sometimes and they won't always have time to tell you they are leaving before. If they have time, maybe a quick 'I'll be right back' would be good, but I believe a lot of people forget that the mods have lives and they do do other things.

Yes Absy- But we were working with alot of PBS and credit. I would have appreciated atleast "brb".

The mods didn't get their job because they're scammers. Though I'm sure it would have been reassuring if it was that large of a sum, they aren't going to scam you so there isn't much to worry about.

If they have something that pops up in real life then they might not have time to even send a simple "brb". They are mods for a reason, they are trustworthy and loyal people. and if they were going to scam you, its very simple to just send a message to jeff and have him revok their mod status, delete their account, give you your stuff back, etc. its not like your stuff would be kept and you would never see of it again. you should just be patient and be appreciative that they are here on pb in the first place so they can do transactions like that for you to begin with. This is just my opinion.

I've had mods vanish in the middle of a transaction but both members of the transaction (buyer and seller) were both happy to wait for mod to come back and distribute items/PBs.
It would be nice for a "brb", but sometimes it's not always possible. In those cases, sit tight and the mod will finalise the transaction as soon as they're back.

Once, I had to stop in the middle of a transaction to rush one of my pets to the vets,
contacting a sim game player about some fake money I must say was not high up on my list at that point.
Like many of others have said, we are mods for a reason. We are trustworthy.
There are plenty of times when I've had players delaying transactions, works both ways.

I've had that happen as well, and the said trade was the very first thing I did when we got back
