There's this one series, with several branches/spin-offs, that I love, called Fables. In a nutshell, it's about fairy tale and folk tale characters living in modern day New York City in exile from their homelands. So it's fantasy, I guess. It's recommended for mature readers, but depending on how okay you with some of its content, I would definitely suggest reading it :D
[Feel free to message me, if you so choose, about the comics & some of the content.]
There's also a comic series to Fables's video game prequel, The Wolf Among Us :3

They are fantastic!
:D

The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson
The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer (REALLY good)
Ally Carter's series about a spy school for girls (the first one is called I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You)
Tamora Pierce's "Protector of the Small" series
Scott Westerfeld's "Uglies" series

And just because I enjoy plugging them every chance I get - try the Adventure series by Willard Price. They're very old (the earliest were written in the late '40s, early '50s) but they are also very good. Very easy reads, informative, you learn a lot about the world and animals through the adventures of the two main characters. Some of the info is a bit outdated now, but they're still some of my favourite books.

Beautiful creatures has been my favorite so far.
Night World Series by L. J. Smith
Cassandra Clare has two series that I'm in love with: Infernal Devices and Mortal Instruments
Dark Life by Kat Falls
The Icemark Chronicles
Before I Fall

Those are all great books I've read. All are YA and a bit fantasy, some more than others. I don't read much straight YA myself, really.
