I personally wouldnt use them, as it is best to add a DS to foals as they will jump better, adding it to an older horse doesn't really benefit the horse at all

It gives breeding almost 100% chance of all 40s with an all 40 mare. Saves on items down the road

But would you rather guarantee an all ten goal or get a foal from one of them then add DS's which would hopefully make the goal surpass one of their heights? Then that foal would almost guarantee all ten offspring

See thats where IDK. If I add them to a foal, It might be a foal I wouldnt normally breed and just the saddle is making them good. For me, the core genetics matter the most and the DS is added fluff on top but I dont really use them so IDK exactly how they work except to add stats.

if it helps, I use DSs to bring the genetics out, I have 2 foals i have just saddled to all 15s, they have really good lines (91.75" x 94") and the saddles will aid them in hopefully surpassing their parents where i know they will do well without the saddles they will do even better with them
