hahaha Val I totally agree with that, I remember growing up back in the day with the ever evolving digital point and shoots. The lag was crazy sometimes, I had to WORK to get that perfect 'in the air' shot and you got maybe 6 frames per second at low quality in burst mode. Or even way back using film and not knowing if you got ANY shots.

nice! I would love to upgrade but we'll see. IF my vacation gets cancelled I may have some extra funds and that may help me feel better about missing my trip. Im still hopeful though, not going until June *crosses fingers*
Bucki, I have a Rebel T1i and I love it, its definitely older but I can get a lot done with it. My brother has the T3i and at his novice level its really good for him. I can do nice portraits with mine both with a fancy(ish) lens and the one that comes with it. Super high speed, not so much but I can get a decent shot of horses jumping or cantering, so its not mega slow.
