Looks like Jeff fixed how they read! A Horse that was 15.5hh earlier is now 15.2"

I wonder if we will get a page which will state each breeds potential height.
|
|
|
|
|
No it will be compared to each breeds Expected height i believe.

My only concern with this is that horse breeds that are smaller might always jump lower than horses that are larger.

It might just have to do with coding. But i cant think of where that i have seen the height written that way.

i know that, but as far as I know theres nowhere that uses the term that way. its probably easier to code that way though. i was just wondering if there was - I would have gotten nailed at 4H saying that lol

Thats what i was thinking he did though.. I may be wrong.

Yes a Hand is 4inches. So 15.5hh would mean 15 and a half hands 15hand and 2 inchs or 62 inches

It's neat, although I wish it was done properly?
am I wrong and there is somewhere in the world where hands go beyond .1, .2, .3?
at least in the US its a 4 inch scale so 9.5 of 14.8hh means nothing?

Height:
How you care for your horse in regards to feed, strength and loyalty can effect how well your horse grows in its first 9 years of life. These first nine years of growth will also have some effect on foal birth height over multiple generations. Breeding a horse too early can lead to smaller foals. How healthy a foal is in regards to expected height for the breed can impact jumpoff performmance later in life.

My new English Show Pony founded are 11.3
And my established Toris are between 15.2 - 16.3
It’s going to be very interesting to see how this affects them from now on!
