It remains a natural. Just as with adding superhorse. ;)

For when/who to xray, I tend to prioritize crossbred foals (to make sure the cross was bringing in what I want) and the my most promising jumpers that I am likely to want to breed. Having an up-and-coming breed, it's helpful to see the scores of the horses I'm most confident about and how they compare with successful horses from more established lines. I don't see a point in adding xray after they're past their prime, since you'll have missed seeing their max scores.
As for items, if you're fixing conformation, might as well make sure they've got all the active DNA they can get, since that'll make a big difference. Otherwise, not much matters other than lucky charms, and those are impossible to come by these days. And sometimes I'll save a slot to add leg wraps when they've hit breeding age.

Thank you! And when it comes to putting items on to improve jump height, do you just choose one, or better to add more? What are the “better” items to add for jump height or do they all do the same thing?

I'd say if you're adding items, add everything useful you've got - you have five item slots, so might as well use them if its a horse you're excited about. I prioritize making sure they have all active DNA over conformation (and then prioritize DNA worth more points, I keep getting foals without active Pegasus, which is frustrating), and then add stirrups last. Lucky charms are probably worth the most of any single item, but again, hard to come by now that we all know that.
If you do want to keep horses natural (which is definitely cheaper and my goal in the long run), you could also wait and add stirrups when they're past their prime just for breeding.

Most of my horses I keep natural. I only have an itemed horse if it is crossbred, and then I throw every helpful item I have on it. =D
But I love my naturals! The good old fashioned PB way, lol! With DNA I find conformation plays less of a part, so I've had pixels with 36 conformation still jump to 90". I do try to only breed from conformations no less than 38, unless they have jumped over 90". But personally, having that "perfect 40" just isn't a goal of mine, so it really doesn't bother me. I know a lot of players do really focus on that though. =)

Thank you :)
Next question lol, does it matter how much you jump them per day? I understand only lightly jumping younger horses but as they get older... how many jumps on average would you do a day with them? IS there a limit?

They get 4 autojumps a day. (Unless you use trailer items)
There is no limit to the amount of jumps you can send. Sometimes jump results come back quickly, but sometimes there are slower days where it might take a couple hours for jumps to go through. You can only send 75 jumps at a time, so on quick days they will clear and in theory you can keep sending jumps seamlessly, but on a slow day there might be some periods of waiting for the results.
Post links on PB and, if your horse is in jump offs, members can send jumps. Sometimes you can get hundreds that way. =)
So in short, there is no limit to how many jumps a horse can compete in daily! =)

Oh, and if the question is, does it make a difference if you jump more be less on horse performance, the answer is there isn’t a cost for more jumping, other than rank if they don’t do well, which doesn’t matter much if it’s an established breed with 5 star registries and lots of horses.
