Thanks! I'm glad everyone is still so friendly. Really makes this self-isolation much better!

Oh yes, um...
A new update in the game causes horses bred too young to have foals that don’t perform well. I’m guessing “young” is probably before 9 years old.
I choose after 16 because that’s the oldest I’ve had a horse improve their jump height. If a horse is bred (as a stud or a mare) they lose some strength. If they aren’t at full strength, they won’t jump well :)

Do they have better foals when they are older? What are your reasons, Mystic?

What Selcouth said, essentially haha!
"Top breeder" is if you breed 20 of one horse breed that end up jumping 90"+ (even if you don't personally own them, just if you breed them)
As for breeding, usually from 17-they retire. RARELY if a horse has proven themselves early i will try to get them a proven foal so will breed around 13-15, but this is only in very limited circumstances :D

Hi! You get the "top breeder" designation after you breed 20 horses of one breed that jump over 90". So you can be a top breeder of multiple breeds if you meet the criteria more than once.
I generally start breeding after the horse is past their prime years and is significantly slowing down their jumping. So for some horses that's around age 15-16, others I end up waiting close to 20 if they're late bloomers.

Also,
What's the best age to start breeding, in your opinion?
