This picture bring me to tears every time. It reminds me how happy I use to be and how much passion I use to have for my sport. Slowly that fire that use to burn so bright for showing got dimmer each day as I was pushed and got made to do things i didn't want to do. Showing was my life since I was eight. I NEVER thought I would get burned out on it, and neither did anyone else.. but to my surprise it did happen. Yall probably wonder how could anyone get burned out on being with their horse? I can't answer that question. Riding and showing seemed more like a chore as time went over. Also it seemed like ever timed I blinked the horses I loved where stripped from me and I was left heartbroken without a best friend. I got tired of that and I thought Amigo would be gone soon, but luckily I still have Amigo, but I don't know for how much longer. As the saying goes all good thing must come to an end. I have good news though.. Everyday I see that fire get a little brighter as I am starting to figure out why I started showing in the first place. |

Your not the only one who's fire is getting burnt out. I completely understand what your going trough. My horse died 2 years ago and she was the best. My parents tried to replace her as fast as they could and got this stocky pinto gelding but after a few months he started limping and tripping and it got so bad he actually fell on me but my Gpa { who pays for my horses } says theirs nothing wrong and refuses to by another horse so I quit riding and I really miss it! Hang I their! :D
