That is how you start out. Put a voice command to it such as halt, stand or square. I like using square. Say it before and when they do it every time. It takes lots of patience. It is hard for the horse to understand when its foot is here you like it, when it is there you do not! LOL! Well, have fun! Hope this helped.

It is for training only. Then pretty soon you can whisper and after that the horse will know how to place themselves and will feel it when they are square. It is a time consuming process but it does pay off.

Actually, I do in every show and I place in nearly everything. Archie only knows voice commands, like if I want him to set up I smooch to him and he moves his feet accordingly.

Thank you. I guess it is just an opinion, and certain shows may have different rules. Thanks for the comments, and please continue.

bambam you need to first of all be nice and second of all learn the rules of a show! there is nothing in the rule book that says you cant use voice commands!
