1. Do NOT hop out of your saddle if your horse stumbled when he landed or bucked in the air you would fall off.

2. You need to release to give the horse his/her head so s/he doesn't land wrong and hurt his/her self.

Nice job Minnie I would have been scared to death and not wanted to try again if my horse stopped at a down-bank. Plus what am I doing jumping down a down-bank?

good job, sounds like you got the best out of the clinic, just a few tips for riding a drop, feet forward, soften your knees, lean back slightly and give your horse enough rein so you don't snag them in the mouth but so they can't run out (it sometimes helps just letting the reins slip as the horse is going down :) )
