Album Mutley and I  |  Uploaded Jul 7, 2012
I do love this one :)

My position is horrible, i know, toes in, heels down, hands too far forward I GET IT. Important thing is he got over it easily with ENOUGH release.

PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DOING CROSS COUNTRY, BE NICE :)

He is a Connemara X Irish Cob :-)

Hank you so much. This was my favourite jump. He went over most of them first time but this one without hesitation,

I love how he really uses himself!!

I wouldn't worry too much about yourself. It's your first time, you're leaving his mouth alone but keeping short enough to have control as soon as you land, and you are well balanced and those are the main things.

Concentrate on getting your confidence up properly before you worry about your position, and once you're jumping everything first time with no refusals then think of your form. If your mind is on your position on the approach he's going to read you wrong and will refuse. Just concentrate on your drive and getting over.

He really uses himself over them all but he still needs your drive and confidence to feel confident himself, from the videos I've seen of you two, you really have to ride him to get him to do something, he certainly isn't a push button pony, and that is a good thing. As it stands you can dictate how he approaches an obstacle so you know you have the control.

In another few months you'll be fly

I just said on Mads' photo of him. I love the way he nearly always pushes his top lip forward when he jumps as if he's concentrating too!

You're just like, "Abandon all pretense of good position in order to have enough release."
I do the same! XD You guys look really great, and his knees are so... up. 0.0
