I think my hands were like that because it was an unexpected jump, she was being really stubborn that day and wouldn't go over for anything, and we ended up jumping most of them at a walk LOL And the ground was really sloppy as you can see, so we were a bit cautious.

As Lime Green Giraffe said just try to give the reins a bit more- there's always that handy mane to grab onto if you need it :P And perhaps try to get out of the tack more, although if it's only you're second time it's most likely a strength issue.
