The past few weeks Ponybox has been receiving a lot of good horse related articles to be listed on I just wanted to thank everyone for their contributions to the news section. We are currently receiving about five articles per day, but unfortunately, only a few are suitable for posting on Ponybox. Here are the top 7 reasons most of the articles are denied:

1. The article was not proof read before submitting.
2. The article did not include at least 3 images.
3. The article was not proof read before submitting.
4. The article was too short and not descriptive.
5. The article was not proof read before submitting.
6. The article content is not original.
7. The article was not proof read before submitting.

If you submit news be prepared to get a different opinions. Ponybox screens news comments for foul language and rude behavior, but does not screen heated discussions or comments. Recently, Polo the Weirdo has received a lot of differing opinions on her training practices. These types of discussions are exactly what the Ponybox news comment system is for. As long as you do not use foul language or threaten a member, all comments will be posted. As a news contributor, if you are not prepared for this, you may want to consider not submitting your news article.

Ponybox Horse NewsWhat do I get for Submitting an Article:
If your article displays on Ponybox you will receive 10,000 Ponybucks. If you include quality pictures that you own with the article you increase your chances of the news article displaying as exclusive. If the article displays as an exclusive article you will receive a Free Equestrian Sport Shirt of your choice.

If you submit a summary of a recent show and include at least 3 images, you will automatically receive a free Ponywear shirt if the article goes live on Ponybox.

Can I edit My Article:
Yes, we recently enhanced the news submission section of the website. You may now edit all your articles that are not live from your news management page. If your article was denied it will display a reason. Use the edit feature to make changes to your article and we will instantly receive your changes. You can submit or edit a news article by clicking here or select the Submit News link using the More link at the top of this page.

When will my article be published:
We are currently publishing about 2 articles per day. This will increase as we receive more quality articles. Articles can take up to 3 weeks to be published, but most will display within one week. Show result articles take priority and will display almost immediately.

What can I write about:
You are welcome to write about anything equestrian related as long as the content is original and not copied. Small excerpts are allowed as long as you reference the source. If we determine you are copying articles we will permanently ban you from submitting articles to Ponybox.

Thanks again for the great articles and I hope to see yours soon!

Wait, wait. I think you forgot one... #8 The article was not proof read before submitting. Lol. That's one of my BIGGEST pet peeves when reading people's articles. Bad grammar, punctuation and word usage and major no no's in writing.

I agree with Foxie: as soon as I see that this article's going to have bad grammar and spelling, I'm gone. It's annoying to have to stop in the middle of a sentence and start over because words are in the wrong order or something, not to mention that it makes the author of the article seem less credible. If you can't even spell properly, how are we supposed to trust that the information you're giving us is the truth?
