Too Many Horse Show Ribbons?
 By DejaVu   •   31st Jan 2011   •   30,926 views   •   31 comments
Horse Show RibbonsYou show your horse and come home with few ribbons - after few years you have boxes and boxes full of ribbons. Now there's a solution how to show all those ribbons. BarnSmart converts your ribbons into pillows, stuffed animals, and quilts showing off your accomplishments. As your ribbons are unique, so are the creations made out of the ribbons.

The minimum number of ribbons needed is sixteen for a pillow and you will need to cough up a few hundred for a wall hanging or a quilt. You can decide a specific design you want or let BarnSmart decide for you. If you don't have as many ribbons as is needed for the design you want, BarnSmart can supply blank ribbons in common colors.

You can have any number of things added to a quilt made out of ribbons. If you have few special ribbons you prefer to leave intact, if you want to add photographs, or a piece from a prize cooler, those can be added to the design.

Prices of the ribbon designs vary by size: horse and teddy bears are $225. If you want a hand-made leather saddle and bridle added to the horse, it will be an additional $50. The price of a quilt varies depending on the difficulty of the design with the average being $25 per square foot.

I'm currently working on a sort of ribbon quilt, but only two 11x11 pieces for a boot bag that I'm making... I spent two hours doing a "patternless pattern" and only got about halfway done and the other one will DEFINATELY have a pattern. hahah

These ribbon quilts are pretty neat though. There are about forty years worth of ribbons in our barn hay mow (aka: storage area).
