PB Member Seven Sins - Questions About My Spinal Cord Injury
 By PonyBox   •   9th Feb 2013   •   2,295 views   •   3 comments
On September 19th, 2010 Ponybox member Seven Sins was in a car accident. Her Chevy S10 truck fishtailed, lost traction and went off the road flipping on its side and hitting a tree. The impact with the tree caused her to be pinned between the seat and the steering wheel. She was trapped. Seven Sins broke many ribs, her scapula, and her back. Breaking her back subsequently damaged her spinal cord, resulting in paralysis.

Seven Sins answers many questions concerning her injury in the video below. Also check out previous articles and videos Seven Sins had published on Ponybox by visiting her profile.

You're so strong. I can't imagine going through what you have and being able to talk about it so calmly.

I've volunteered at a therapeutic riding center for 6 years, and I want to tell you to never give up hope. I'm not about to come out here and tell you I see it happen often, but I've worked with people who somehow managed to regain enough voluntary control to ride independently after spinal cord injuries. The nervous system continues to surprise the scientific community.

You are very brave to talk about this so openly. They are making some very big leaps into being able to make paralysed people walk again, so you never know what may happen in the future :)
Have you thought about riding in the Paralympics?
