The Girl Who Hated Horses

I Bayliee101 hated horses, literally. I was scared that they would kick me, bite me, and stand on my feet. I never wanted to go near a horse! I had a bad experience with horses when I was 4, I was riding my 14.1hh friends horse bare back and with no reins. It was just me, the horse and the mane.
I was totally freaked out!
My friend wanted to do trotting, she said it was just like walking, but she was wrong. The horse wanted to canter and my friend lost her grip on the lead rope and let go of it - It was just me and the horse. I subsequently fell off the horse and that ended my experience with horses.
Every time I saw a horse I backed away.
Over time I warmed up to attending a holiday program at Walnut Ranch. I was very reluctant to go, but signed up for a two week holiday program with my Ponybox friends No Spurs Needed, Mystic Rider, Safires Heart and Pinto05.
Thanks to the Walnut Ranch crew, I love horses and I'm now out at the ranch five days a week helping with riding lessons and teaching people how to groom and tack up.
I would like to send a special thanks to my Walnut Ranch family for taking the time to help me, being patient and breaking my fear of horses. I now even have a Shetland horse that I look after named Onyx. We are on our way to being best friends. |

Onyx is a Shetland Pony that loves to eat. He belongs to the ranch where I ride, but I tend to call him my own since we spend so much time together. I cant afford a horse of my own, but when I get older I would really fancy a Clyd ...
