Horses at The Movies

We’ve looked at how horses are often portrayed in the movies before, and know that some of what the public sees on screen is pure fabrication. Horse expert Scott Tarter looks at some of the most popular movies like Hidalgo, Secretariat, Black Beauty, The Neverending Story, and others and points out the very non-horse-like behaviors. Tarter, with his background as a stable owner comments on whether what we are seeing is factual and describes what really could happen to the horses in those questionable scenes.
