Staten Island Horse Property Restrictions
 By Winniefield Park   •   21st Oct 2019   •   93 views   •   0 comments

It’s not unusual to see horses in New York City, but they’re more likely to be in the tourist areas or Central Park, pulling carriages. So, seeing one cantered up a city street might be a little surprising. One couple, after learning that there are no restrictions against keeping horses on your property on Staten Island as long as it is kept for recreational purposes, has built a small stable in their driveway for their horse Morgie.

What do the neighbors think? One has complained about the smell, which they try to keep under control. Authorities found the horse’s accomodations acceptable, although the goat also kept on the property was removed as goats are not allowed within city limits.
