Controversial Wild Horse Senate Bill
 By Winniefield Park   •   1st Nov 2019   •   210 views   •   0 comments

A controversial bill is headed to the US senate that has the approval of The Humane Society of the United States, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, National Cattlemenís Beef Association and American Farm Bureau Federation but isnít approved by the American Wild Horse Campaign.

Those who approve of the measures set out in the bill, which includes sterilizing mares, say it will effectively control the size of the wild horse herds, ensure the humane treatment of the horses and prevent the slaughter of thousands of Mustangs. Those in opposition however, fear massive round ups, and fear the bill will aid in the extinction of the Mustangs over much of the American Midwest.
