Video Of Heroic Horse Galloping Back Into California Wildfires
 By Winniefield Park   •   11th Nov 2019   •   647 views   •   1 comments

A video of a horse galloping back into a California wildfire to bring a mare and foal back into its herd demonstrates an amazing example of herd dynamics has gone viral. The video shows a dark-colored horse galloping back into the flames of the “Easy Fire”, an area just outside Simi Valley, California that is home to several ranches. After locating other members of its herd it leads them out of the smoke and flames to safety. The dry, windy Santa Ana winds are a spreading fires throughout the state, leading to both human and animal evacuations. All but one horse, who suffered leg fractures, were evacuated from the Easy Fire area.

The California Ventura County Easy Fire was sparked from a downed transmission line and burned over 1,800 acres from October 30th thru November 2nd, 2019.
