Horse Music While You Ride

If you’re looking to add a little music to your ride, there’s an app, or service out there to help you do that. Music while you ride can relax, entertain, and if you’re schooling, help you keep a steady rhythm to your gaits. If played over speakers, it also helps block outside noise when you’re riding an easily distracted horse. There’s been some research that suggests that music helps your horse relax in a variety of situations, like schooling, vet visits and trailering. You’re not likely going to stream music into your trailer, but you might want to sample some music and playlists made just for horses and their humans. Open your Spotify, Apple Music, Google Music/YouTube Music or other music streaming app and check out some of the equestrian offerings.

Spotify

Relaxing Music for Horses and Horse Lovers is a collection of tunes by Pets Love Music. Pets Love Music also has albums for cats and dogs. This company specializes in music for helping pets overcome separation anxiety and other stressors.

Google Music/YouTube Music

If you’re out for a ride, don’t wear noise cancelling headphones. But, the tunes on this playlist might make your trail ride more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for sound effects for a podcast or other project, you could check out the class="news">Pro Sound Effect Library. This is one of many collections of sound effects available.

Suntrees Skies creates ambient and relaxing music and there’s an album just for horses. They also create lullabies and ambient sounds to relax anyone.

Whether composed for vaulting or inspired by it, Equestrian Vaulting by Moustad is an interesting collection of a dozen rhythmic songs to ride or relax by.

If you’re looking for more playlists to inspire your dressage freestyle, check Soundcloud, where there are several collections created by other riders.
