11 Mares Rescued After Falling Thru Ice
 By Winniefield Park   •   15th Mar 2020   •   209 views   •   0 comments

Many places in the world are experiencing a warmer than average winter, and that means the freeze-up came later and the ice is not as thick as it would normally be. After 11 mares went through the ice, farmers in the South Ural's Bashkiriya region of Russia are warning people to stay off the ice. Fortunately, the farmers were working nearby when the horses went through the ice of a small but apparently deep pond. Using a tractor and towline, the farmers were able to get the mares out without injury.
