Horses can form tight bonds and remember stablemates and humans long after they’ve been separated. When Skydog Sanctuary acquired Phoenix, they noticed that he seemed a bit standoffish and seemed to be looking for someone or something. But when a pale colored mare was introduced to the herd, it seemed Phoenix’s lonely days were over.
